26 Cuban soldiers die in Angola plane crash
HAVANA (Reuter) - Cuba, in an unusually frank admission, said yesterday 26 Cuban
soldiers, including a top general, were killed when their plane was shot down
by their own anti-aircraft batteries in southern Angola. An armed forces communique
said Brig.-Gen. Francisco Cruz Bourzac, vice-minister for armament, was among
the victims.
