HEADLINE: YEMEN-ACCIDENT SEVENTEEN SOLDIERS KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH IN YEMEN

Sana, Aug 14 (EFE).- Seventeen Yemeni soldiers, including three generals, were killed Saturday when the helicopter in which they were traveling crashed into the southeastern Hadhramaut desert, the Defense ministry reported. At time of the crash, the reasons for which have not yet been determined, the helicopter was on a reconnaissance mission over the Hadhramaut area, on the border with Saudi Arabia.
The victims included assistant chief-of-staff of the armed forces, Gen. Ahmed Faraj, the commander of the eastern region, Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Ismail, as well as the director of the Defense ministry's armaments department, Gen. Mohammed Suneidi, the report indicated.
