india's major general k.m. palande and three other senior army officers were
killed when a helicopter of the army aviation crash-landed in turbulent weather
in north sikkim this morning. palande was visiting army border formations in
north sikkim when the helicopter lost touch with ground control in bad weather
conditions, the press trust of india (pti) said. the helicopter took off from
divisional headquarters in kalimpong at 9:40 a.m. (local time).
